27th World Mining Congress 2026

The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) is pleased to promote the 27th World Mining Congress (WMC 2026), taking place from 24 to 26 June 2026 at the Lima Convention Center in Lima, Peru.

Organised by the Instituto de Ingenieros de Minas del Perú (IIMP), the congress will bring together global industry leaders, governments, investors, scientists, and decision-makers under the theme “Mining for the Future: Trust, Transformation and Technology”, to address the challenge of delivering the minerals the world needs responsibly, efficiently, and sustainably.

WMC 2026 will feature high-level plenary sessions, technical presentations, short courses, and industry engagement, creating a platform for knowledge exchange, strategic dialogue, and collaboration across the global mining community.

EFG is proud to highlight that EurGeol Prof. Dr. Leopold Weber, EFG delegate from the Austrian Mining Association (BVÖ), serves as First Vice Chairman of the International Organising Committee of the World Mining Congresses and will represent EFG during the IOC meeting preceding the congress.
