I am pleased to inform you that I am serving as the Guest Editor for the Special Issue titled “Applications of Machine Learning in Geotechnical Engineering (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/applsci/special_issues/3PQ8SB2V2Z)” in the open access journal Applied Sciences. I wanted to share with you the exciting news that Applied Sciences has achieved 7 consecutive years of growth, with its CiteScore recently increasing to 5.5, showcasing its growing impact in the academic community.

In light of this achievement, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you and your esteemed team to contribute a Research Article or Comprehensive Review to Applied Sciences for consideration in this Special Issue.

Your expertise and contributions would greatly enhance the quality and depth of our Special Issue. Could you please let us know if you have any upcoming papers from your group that you would like to consider publishing? Your insights and submissions would be highly valued.

An article processing charge (APC) of 2400 CHF currently applies to all papers accepted after peer review. You may be entitled to a discount code if you previously reviewed for MDPI or if your institution is a participating member in MDPI’s Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP).

Papers may be submitted from now until 28 February 2026, as they will be published on an ongoing basis. Submitted papers should not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send a short abstract or tentative title to the Section Managing Editor (candice.guo@mdpi.com) in advance.
